Microsoft has taken one more step to make operating system Windows 7 the best and unique one. Microsoft has digitally signed with Futronic Technology Company Limited (global provider of fingerprint recognition software and hardware products) for Windows Biometric Framework (WBF) Driver for its USB fingerprint scanner. The WBF Driver has successfully passed WHQL test for both 32 bit and 64 bit Windows 7. However, suppliers have to provide their own USB drivers, software development kits and applications to use fingerprint recognition products in earlier versions of Windows.

Specific Features of Futronic Windows Biometric Framework Driver:
• It includes PC logon control application software.
• It supports all Futronic USB fingerprint scanners like FS80, FS88, FS90.
• WBF Driver is installed to Windows 7 just like any other USB drivers and the PC logon control software is installed simultaneously.

After installation of WBF Driver, you can add, modify and remove finger data for logon control by clicking into Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Biometric Devices, just like setting up printer, speakers etc. Once fingerprint data is added, you can logon PC by finger which makes the computing environment secure and convenient.

The new Windows Biometric Framework (WBF) of Windows 7 provides support for fingerprint recognition products through a new set of components, which improves the quality, reliability and consistency of the user experience for customers.
